cover作动词有一个意思是报道新闻：to report for an event for television,a newspaper,etc.其它意思与报道无关.
report意思就比较多了,动词：to give imformation；to present an event in newspaper; to tell a person about a crime,an accident ,an illness,etc; to tell sb that you have arrived.名词：news; information; official study; story; on student's work.
